According to the Financial Times report, this spyware was created by the Israeli company NSO Group. A bug in your phone can be found via WhatsApp voice calling feature. It installs spyware in your phone.
WhatsApp has said in their statement that they have found this bug last month only. Now it’s fixed. WhatsApp has said that the people should update their app to their latest version. Also, people have been advised to update their operating system to the latest version.
If you have an Android phone then go to the Google Play store. Type Whatsapp. After this go to Whatsapp and upload your app. Apple users can also update the app from their iOS Store.
Israel’s NSO Group works for the government. WhatsApp in a statement said that NSO Group is a private company that works with the government. On the other hand, the NSO has denied these allegations. According to WhatsApp, very few people have been affected due to this bug.
